Acts 2:17-21 states: And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out My Spirit upon all people: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [preach; to speak or write with inspiration, exercise the prophetic office] and your young shall see visions, and your old shall dream dreams; And on my servants and on my female servants I will pour out my Spirit in those days; and they shall preach. . . that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Go Fish Church, now in the planning stages, is a Christian organization, which is primarily concerned with the spiritual growth of women and children who may feel uncomfortable, in a traditionally masculine run church organization. We are concerned with women’s issues as related to our Christian faith and the free exercise thereof, and have a particular interest in the Spiritual healing of those who have been victimized by sexual and domestic violence, including those who have experienced rape, incest, molestation, or any other kind of abuse. We understand their resistance to a primarily masculine dominated church setting, and even their possible resistance to a masculine Godhead. We seek to reconcile their loss of faith with mankind and its view of God, to a more Scriptural view of God and Christ, who was, in fact, very strong and masculine, yet treated women and children with the utmost love, compassion, equality, and respect. Women should no longer be viewed as second class citizens in a men’s religious organization. We are the direct helpers of Christ, much as Mary Magdalene was after she was freed from the bondage of man service.

Many of us are estranged from earthly husbands due to unfortunate life circumstances such as divorce, separation and death. Yet we can and will serve God. Our hope is that we can be reconciled with godly men who will accompany us on our mission into the harvest fields as the Spiritual Equals in Christ that we are and who will not treat us in abusive or disrespectful ways. We will walk alone and unapologetically if necessary, for we are espoused to Jesus, who is our spiritual husband and he will supply all our needs out of His treasures in heaven. All repentant sinners welcome- women who are single, divorced, separated, married, remarried, new mothers, breast-feeding mothers, widowed, non-traditionally sexually oriented (non-practicing, repentant) who seek freedom from sin in Christ and seek to serve in His Kingdom, their children and any men in their lives who choose to embrace our equality in Christ.
