When the curtain of my sin and trials
Veiled the view of the love of God above
When the wonder of Satan’s secret whiles
Closed my eyes till I’d had enough
God’s hand tore that cloth from top to bottom
And gave me sight to see His saving grace
God burned through my soul like rain on Sodom
Uplifting my heart to turn my downcast face
I heard the soft sound of Christ’s gentle knocks
And my tears cried over His nail-scared feet
Then I broke the seal on the Alabaster box
Opening the fragrance of my love so sweet
To rise in the air like the resurrected Christ
On the heavenward clouds of God’s Glory
That I might live a life of living sacrifice
And share with others the God of my story
