Counselors’ Corner
Well June is here and father’s day is just around the corner. I thank God for my father, who always provided for our needs, though he is now gone on to be with Jesus. I pray that God helps me to provide for the two children who live with me, like my father tried to do for us. I receive very little support from their father, who I am separated from. He does on occasion buy us a few groceries or put some gas in the car, but not so often I can depend on it. Since we are not legally separated, he doesn’t have to give me anything, as far as child support. But I pray that God will convict him to help us more, at least until I can get some income coming in. I sometimes feel like everything depends on me, but then God does something wonderful, like running me into an old friend who gave me a hundred dollars unexpectedly. I haven’t seen her in ten years, but I was telling her that I had graduated but had been unable to find work. I was writing her phone number down in my wallet and she just plopped a hundred dollar bill down in my wallet, Praise God!!!!!!
God hasn’t let us go hungry yet, though we been too close for my comfort a few times.
My garden is doing well this year. I have harvested green onions, a few asparagus tips, a bunch of squash, a few zucchini, some salad greens, and mustard greens. I am just beginning to get some cucumbers, and my tomatoes aren’t quite ripe yet. I’ve actually got corn this year! I’ve picked three small ones so far. I’ve just pulled up all the mustards that went to seed and have replanted those squares with peppers and carrots. My gape vine has baby green grapes, so maybe we’ll get a few grapes this year. I hope so because the kids love them. Something ate them last year. We picked blackberries enough to make eight jars of jelly, too. The blue berries will soon be ripe and we may get a few figs this year. Katrina almost destroyed the fig tree, and we haven’t got any figs for the last few years, but it’s coming back now. Needless to say, God has promised that we won’t go hungry and I’ve done as much as I can to see that doesn’t happen. I may have to learn to not eat very much meat though because I lost all my chickens.
I’ve been working on the OLD Testament for my paraphrase, but I would sometimes do other things in my day first and not get to it consistently. So I realized that every time I didn’t work on it first in my day, one of the chickens would get out of the fence and the dogs would get it. Needless to say, I have a hard head and lost all twelve chickens before I got what the Lord was trying to teach me - to put God’s work first and then do my other work. But God is good and the lesson was learned, though I have no chickens left. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord! Praise Yahweh! I’ve been grumbling and complaining like the children of Israel and worried about where our next meal was coming from instead of letting God take care of it. And then God just does something so wonderful and merciful, like give me a hundred dollars, I wasn’t expecting! That’ll help with next months light bill. God is so good! Last months bill got paid too by the grace of God! My daughter, Rose, chipped in and paid more than half the bill. I make about a hundred dollars a month mowing Mama’s yard and cleaning her house, so if we don’t run the air, I think I can keep the bill paid, at least for the summer. But when it’s tough, God always comes through!
God just keeps blessing and blessing! I’m expecting my first grandbaby, now, so I’m really excited about that! I can’t wait! We need maternity clothes for Amanda, if anyone has any small size maternity clothes. She only has one outfit that I bought her, and one more that someone gave her. A couple of more would really help out. Just let me know if you have some you can spare. She’s having an ultrasound in a couple of weeks, so I can’t wait to see the pictures. I pray for a healthy baby and a strong Mama! Speaking of Mama’s, mother’s day was in May, and I got the biggest blessing I’ve had in a long time. Rocky actually bought me a bunch of Roses, some chocolates, and a beautiful card. You have to understand this is not something he does. This was a real shock to me, but that’s not the best part. He actually told me how blessed he was for me to have given him our eight children. He said that he thanked God for all of them, even when it’s been tough. I’ve waited for that one for 29 years!!!!!!! I’ve often felt like Leah, in the Bible, thinking, “Now that I’ve given him 4 sons, he will love me!” God has truly answered my prayer!
I have also been fervently working on my website for my Go Fish Christian Books. It’s now online and I would really appreciate any purchases. I can only take credit cards through PayPal at this time, but I can also take checks, if you want to send one. Please take a look at it again as I now have over 150 books listed. The categories are located at the bottom right of the page and featured books are on the bottom left. I have no other income at this time so please help me out if you can. Please pray that this is successful. Our livelihood depends on it. I have no other options at this time as I still have not found employment. Notes and Prayer Requests
• Several people that I have met as of late have had to leave their husbands because they found out their husbands were molesting their children. This is in epidemic proportions. Please pray for these unnamed families. And pray that I can minister to these broken hearted ladies.
• Pray for Amanda and my first grandbaby that she is carrying!
• I am a Christian Counselor and would be willing to provide services to those in need. I have a master’s degree in Psychological Counseling and am an ordained Minister as well. Please pray that I may be useful to God’s kingdom. I can also mow yards, clean houses or anything else that needs doing. I charge $50 for a yard or 3 BR house. You provide the equipment.

• I would appreciate if you’d let me know of grammar, punctuation, and other mistakes I may have made. My goal is to make the paraphrase as simple and clear as possible. I know they still need much work, as they are drafts of a work in progress. I don’t know of any other Bible that uses the Name of Yahweh (I am in Hebrew), so I have worked hard to get it right. Please pray that God helps me in this work, and let me know of any mistakes you find. Thank all of you who are praying for me on this.
Daily Bible Reading Plans for the New Word, The Old Sayings, and The Old Hymns
The New Word, The Old Sayings and The Old Hymns is a unique feminist approach to a gender-neutral paraphrase of the Holy Bible, which uses the true name of Yahweh God and of Yeshua, the Christ, rather than the traditional man made form of Jehovah. I attempted this several year project out of a strong desire to make known the true name of Yahweh God and to help complete the great commission of Jesus Christ. It is the first Bible to my knowledge that uses the Name of God in its proper form, which had fallen out of use because of the Hebraic tradition to not say it at all by replacing it with Lord (Adoni) or God (Elohim), for fear of using it in vain. Yahweh, in the Hebrew, simply means I AM. Yahweh God is the great I AM!
This paraphrase is a working draft, and these are the published excerpts in the completed series. This version is particularly intended to reach an audience on the internet, that may not just go pick up a Bible and read it. I would like to encourage Christians and non-Christians alike to read through them using one of the suggested reading plans below and comment on them, whether you have a critique, editing correction, or praise. I am particularly looking for clarity of ideas, and simplicity for a younger or less educated audiences, which may have trouble reading and understanding some of the other more traditional versions. Archaic language, has been replaced by more modern readings of the ideas presented in the KJV. If you find a section that is still somewhat difficult to read, or understand, please let me know your thoughts on it. I would like to make all the corrections necessary before attempting further publication and dissemination. I am asking for the Triond community and other readers to help me find any significant errors, and check for readability.
