Counselors’ Corner

September is here, and with it the next school year in full force. I’m trying to get back into my homeschooling routine with Selah and Joey, and we go to the Boys and Girls Club every afternoon. I’m in the Arts and Crafts room, and now have mostly manageable sized groups, as they divided the large group in half. I’m a little out of that Arts and Crafts mode, as I haven’t done that sort of stuff since my Girl Scout days. I find myself doing more discipline and classroom management than Art, and have just been working on a No Bully theme this week. We did color sheets of David and Goliath, the greatest bully story ever. I’m also trying to implement a little creative writing in my plans on Wednesdays, which is probably my stronger point. I think I’ve finally gotten an understanding with my young charges, and they know I mean business. I’m tough, but I try to be fair and understanding as well. Some of them probably think I’m the devil, because I frequently tell them to sit down and be quiet, and won’t let them have any fun. But I’ve learned the hard way, kid’s out of seats cause fights and disruptions. I would like to be more lenient here, but with a group this large, I guess I can’t. I’m learning what works and what doesn’t, and overall, I think I’ve got a plan that will work. They get community cash for rewards and discipline forms for punishment for the most part.

I like what I am doing, and love the kids, but I need more pay before all of my student loans come due. I’m just not sure how it’s all going to work out right now. I’ve prayed for an open door, and I thought maybe the director’s position at the BGC was it, but unfortunately I was not hired for that position. I was also looking in to the Teach and Inspire program, but after my interview, I found out there was a $200 fee that I can’t afford to pay, so that door promptly closed as well. God apparently wants me in the position I’m in now, but how I’ll pay the bills on what I’m being paid, I’m not quite sure.

With my Master’s degree, I could counsel now as long as I had a supporting organization like a church, or ministry. It would be nice if I could actually do what I’m trained to do and counsel at the Boys and Girls Club, and get paid for it. If any one out there knows of a church or ministry that would like an on staff counselor, please let me know. My degree is a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Christian counseling. All I would need would be an office to work out of and the clients would pay my “salary” through fees. I would be willing to work on a sliding scale fee, to make counseling affordable to the congregants. I really want to do what I’ve been training for all these years, which is counseling. I especially would like to work with groups of victims of sexual and/or domestic violence, and wouldn’t mind speaking on those topics, as well, in a small group setting. I can also do Adventure Based Counseling with youth or children’s groups, which are non-competitive games and activities with a counseling twist. If your church or ministry needs either of these kinds of services, please let me know. I’m available. Love offerings are fine, as I have no set fee for this work, and it is my passion.

Well, as it is, I’m not sure what the next step is. I’ve followed my God down a long road of hope, which has come to an intersection. I’m waiting at the stop sign, and don’t know which way to turn. I know I have to take the next step, but for now, I’m not sure where that leads exactly. This is one of those life moments where you just have to hang on and wait on God and pray for direction. I just pray that I find something that pays more than what I’m making now, which is just above minimum wage, when my loans come due in the next three months. Pray that God helps me find my way. In the mean time, I’m enjoying my time at the BGC, and pray that God will use me there.

I’ve finished up my working draft of my paraphrase of the New Testament and the Psalms and Proverbs and have it all published now. I have also designed a daily reading plan that may be useful to some of you who are reading it. I do ask for input and editing advice if you catch grammar mistakes, etc. My next step is to put it all together and work on it as a whole document, and include some explanatory footnotes for study helps. But that may take another few years. We’ll see. I’ve also started paraphrasing some Old Testament Bible stories, such as David and Goliath, which I hope to some day put together in a bible story book for children. Pray that God leads me in my future endeavors and that my work is blessed. I may die a pauper, and in debt to the federal government, but maybe I will at least have been of use to the Kingdom of God in a small way. I say with Job, though God slays me, I will trust Him.

Notes and Prayer Requests

• There are people everywhere facing medical issues that need prayer. One of my AWANA boys from last year, Zack Little, has had a tumor removed recently, so pray for his complete healing. Mrs. Bobbie Miley, My old pastor’s wife, has had several medical issues lately. Please pray for her as well. One of my Girl Scouts from years ago, has had her father in the hospital recently. Please pray for him as well. I try to keep up with every one on Facebook, but I’m sure there are many others I have not mentioned.

• Tommy has a new girl friend, Amanda, who is leaving for basic training in October, so please pray for her.

• Rock’s job has been extended and he is trying to get in a nursing school in North Carolina. Pray that God will direct him, as well.

• My daughter Sunny has experienced some personal setbacks, but is trying to finish up her education as well. Pray for strength of mind, body, and spirit!

• Rose is back from bashing around in Oxford, England on the student exchange program with Duke University, where she is in grad school. Thank you fro pray for her safe passage home.

• I have published all of my paraphrases on the Triond website. The links are listed below in several Daily Bible Reading Plans, if anyone wants to check them out. • I would appreciate if you’d let me know of grammar, punctuation, and other mistakes I may have made. My goal is to make the paraphrase as simple and clear as possible. I know they still need much work, as they are drafts of a work in progress. I don’t know of any other Bible that uses the Name of Yahweh (I am in Hebrew), so I have worked hard to get it right. Please pray that God helps me in this work, and let me know of any mistakes you find. Thank all of you who are praying for me on this.

• I will have some full-blood black and tan short-haired dachshund puppies for sale soon and am taking deposits on them now. They’re five weeks old now. $50 down and one other installment of $50 will get them. If this is a problem though, I’ll work with you. I need homes for at least 4 of them.







Daily Bible Reading Plans for the New Word, The Old Sayings, and The Old Hymns



The New Word, The Old Sayings and The Old Hymns is a unique feminist approach to a gender-neutral paraphrase of the Holy Bible, which uses the true name of Yahweh God and of Yeshua, the Christ, rather than the traditional man made form of Jehovah. I attempted this several year project out of a strong desire to make known the true name of Yahweh God and to help complete the great commission of Jesus Christ. It is the first Bible to my knowledge that uses the Name of God in its proper form, which had fallen out of use because of the Hebraic tradition to not say it at all by replacing it with Lord (Adoni) or God (Elohim), for fear of using it in vain. Yahweh, in the Hebrew, simply means I AM. Yahweh God is the great I AM!

This paraphrase is a working draft, and these are the published excerpts in the completed series. This version is particularly intended to reach an audience on the internet, that may not just go pick up a Bible and read it. I would like to encourage Christians and non-Christians alike to read through them using one of the suggested reading plans below and comment on them, whether you have a critique, editing correction, or praise. I am particularly looking for clarity of ideas, and simplicity for a younger or less educated audiences, which may have trouble reading and understanding some of the other more traditional versions. Archaic language, has been replaced by more modern readings of the ideas presented in the KJV. If you find a section that is still somewhat difficult to read, or understand, please let me know your thoughts on it. I would like to make all the corrections necessary before attempting further publication and dissemination. I am asking for the Triond community and other readers to help me find any significant errors, and check for readability.

Counselors’ Corner

Well the summer is finally coming to a close and with it my summer job at the Boys and Girls Club. It’s been an exciting and trying summer. The last three weeks brought two suicide threats by two of the kids, which really put a burden on my heart for the children there. I put some of my counseling skills into practice and talked with the kids about suicide issues and encouraged them all to sign a No Suicide Contract, which many counselors use. I pray that something I said or did this summer will make them think twice before trying anything as permanent as death. My heart goes out to all them, but there are a few which I especially think need to have some hope put in their lives. Some of these kids don’t have much of a chance in life, but they all have so much potential.

After all is said and done, I am getting to stay on for the after school program, which I am thankful for getting any kind of job. But it’s only about 25 hours a week and only a bit more than minimum wage, so it’s going to be hard to make it on that and pay back student loans. I found out just two weeks ago that my boss is leaving her position as Director, so I applied for that job as well. I’m probably a little over qualified as far as education is concerned, but I have little actual work experience, so I hope that maybe that will all balance out. I had been praying for God to open up a door for me that no one could close, so maybe this is it. My heart is certainly at the BGC and I would like nothing better than to stay there and work with these kids, and if I got a decent salary in addition to that, it would be great. Please pray with me that God opens up a door no one can close, and helps me get the job that He has for me to do, whether it’s at the BGC or somewhere else. I do love working with children though, so I hope this may be it.

On another note, Saturday at 9:30 AM at the William Carey Smith Auditorium, I will finally be walking for that long coveted Master’s Degree in Psychological Counseling. When I started William Carey back in 1998 with six kids and another on the way, I was told by many people, that I couldn’t do it. But I knew in my heart that God had called me to do it. I never really wanted to be anything much but a stay at home mom until that call. Over the years, I did things like selling Avon and Tupperware, so I could help out a little financially, but still stay home with the kids for the most part. I never wanted to enter that world of career women, who all left their kids in day care for someone else to raise. I was a staunch believer in being home with my children, at least until they were in school. I was very vocal on this issue. Even though I still feel very strong on this point, something changed in my heart when I felt God calling me to go back to school. I didn’t exactly know where that road would lead to, but I took that step of faith, and I’m so glad I did. I managed to work my course schedules around having Selah and breastfeeding her for several years, and then having Joey and nursing him for several years as well. Often I took two classes in the morning, ran back to Mama’s for lunch and to nurse the baby and then back to class in the afternoon, followed by a long nursing session when I got home. I did pump some breast milk for them to have while I was gone, but most of the time, they refused the bottle and waited for my return, not always being a happy camper when I got there. There’s nothing in the world like sitting in that rocking chair and singing to your baby while she/he nurses contentedly. My heart was still always first to my babies. This was very hard sometimes, but I promised my self that I would not neglect my babies to go to school or anything else. I remember once taking a final exam after being in the emergency room all night with a breast infection, and many other times, going to class, after having been up all night writing a paper, many times with a nursing baby in one arm, and typing with the other hand. So many all nighters later, I have finally gotten to this point. I could not have gotten here at all, if it had not been for my Mama and Daddy, helping me with the kids, while I did this. Many days, they kept the kids while I went to class, and rocked sleepy babies to sleep, until I came home. I do believe my degree half belongs to them. They earned it as much as I did.

I said all that to say this, if I can do what I did with eight children, anybody can do it. Don’t let anyone tell you can’t do something if God calls you to do it! God will always make a way. God mercifully allowed me to continue nursing my babies, as I would never have wanted to bottle feed, with the knowledge I have of the benefits of breastfeeding. God mercifully allowed me to stay home with my children for the most part, while I was in school. I did work some part time odd jobs while in school, but I still had some time with my children, and Mama kept them while I couldn’t be there. With God’s help and my parents help with keeping the kids, I never had to put them in day care, which was another issue of concern with me that I have been very vocal about. The things that were most important to me, breastfeeding and no day care, God has mercifully worked out with His loving plan for me and my children. It has been a long road, with many times that I didn’t know what was around the bend and many times when I didn’t know where our next meal was coming from. In these last few months, God has put a godly person in my life that has certainly put her money where her mouth is. She has bought us groceries, had my car serviced and many other things, which I simply could not have done on my current income level. While studying for finals, I didn’t have to worry about trying to make ends meet, because this godly lady stepped up and said “I want to help you” and then did so. I hope someday I can repay the favor, if not to her then to someone else in my situation, who is struggling to make her life what God wants it to be. Life is hard, but God is good! I love that song!

When I look back at all I’ve been through, I know that God has been with me through it all. We have never done without a meal, though we came close a few times. We have never done without any great need, as I have even found good furniture on the side of the road, when I needed it. When I struggled to pay my tithes, even when we had clear needs that it could have been spent on, God opened up the windows of heaven and poured out blessings on us. God just showed me this once again recently. Rose had given me $50 toward my cap and gown for graduation, which I would up having to use to pay bills. I needed to pay $65 in tithes on my next paycheck, on top of my bills, and my cap and gown was right about that amount. Needless to say I paid my tithes and had made up my mind that I just wouldn’t walk for graduation, if it meant not paying my tithes. The next day or so, my sister offered to pay for my cap and gown and gave me $85, $20 more than the tithes I had paid. Then Rocky and that other godly woman I was speaking of bought us a few more groceries unexpectedly. Then, after having gotten my cap and gown, I had enough left to go get the transcript I needed for a job opportunity, and still had enough left to go get a $7.99 portrait package from Wal-Mart Studios. After that, Mama let me cut her yard and clean her house for another $75, which I used part of for some 80% off items at Hudson’s. I got $105 dollars worth of stuff for $25. Now that’s God raining down from heaven! As Br. Miley, God bless him, used to say, you can’t out give God! So people, let me tell you, be faithful with your tithes, and God will be faithful to you. You may not know where your next meal is coming from, but pay it anyway, and God will provide for your needs, and probably abundantly so. I’m not preaching a prosperity gospel, because I’m certainly not well off by any means, but God will provide for your needs. Daily Bread, people, daily bread! That’s what I call living in luxury!

Well, graduation exercises are at 9:30 AM, so I thought about having a little get together for family and friends afterward. I don’t have much money, so I thought if anyone wants to, we could do a pot luck or bring finger foods, and I would provide cake and coffee. If anybody wants to do this, please let me know, and I’ll do it. But if everyone’s too busy, I understand. I don’t want to do it if only one or two people can come. Notes and Prayer Requests

• There are people everywhere facing medical issues that need prayer. One of my AWANA boys from last year, Zack Little, has had a tumor removed recently, so pray for his complete healing. Mrs. Bobbie Miley, My old pastor’s wife, has had several medical issues lately. Please pray for her as well. One of my Girl Scouts from years ago, has had her father in the hospital recently. Please pray for him as well. I try to keep up with every one on Facebook, but I’m sure there are many others I have not mentioned.

• My son Jonnie and my daughter Merry has come to the Boys and girls Club with me and volunteered for a few days, and they both did very well. I’m so proud of them!

• My son Tommy has been working very hard at his summer job and has become a hard working young man, but he broke his foot last week. Please pray for speedy healing, but he’s going back to light duty this week.

• Rock is still working but will need a new job when this one pans out for the summer. Please pray that he finds another one when this one ends.

• My daughter Sunny has a new boyfriend, who has found two lumps on his head. He will be going to the doctor soon, so pray that they’re nothing drastic.

• Rose is bashing around in Oxford, England right now on a student exchange program with Duke University, where she is in grad school. Pray for her safety and a safe passage home.

• I have published many of my paraphrases on the Triond website. Some of the links are listed below if anyone wants to check them out. I have now published all of the New Testament and the Proverbs, and am re-editing the Psalms now and getting it published online. Sacrifices for Freedom

Summer is half way over now, and so is my job at the Boys and Girls club. I believe I am starting to reach some of the teens I have had the privilege to lead this summer. I pray that before the summer is over I will have touched their hearts in some way and pointed them toward a stronger faith. Pray for me as I try to do God’s will. Please pray for Selah and Joey as well, as they are continually facing bullying issues, being two of only four white children there. I’m not sure if race is an issue, but that may be part of the problem here. Joey has been physically assaulted a couple of times and Selah has been threatened, recently. So, I ask you all, to please pray for their safety for the rest of the summer. Otherwise I may have to take them out, but I truly hope not, as overall, it has been a good experience for them. I still don’t have any job offers for the fall, so please continue to pray that God will open up a door that no one can shut for me. I feel like Abraham when God told him, “Go to a land I will show you.” He went, not knowing where he was going. I went back to school, not knowing where I was heading, and I still don’t exactly know, now that I’m finished with school. I’m just trying to take one step of faith at a time. I graduate on August 8th at 9:30 AM, at the WCU auditorium if anyone wants to come.

My daughter Rose is purchasing my cap and gown for my birthday I think, so I’m going to go ahead and walk, though I’m really going to hate the fact that my Dad won’t be there to see me. I lost him last summer, when he suddenly died of necrotizing faciitis, or flesh eating bacteria. It was always my desire for him to be proud of me, but I guess that desire wasn’t to be. He did see me graduate with my Bachelor’s degree, but he stated more than once that I’d never amount to anything much, so I wanted to show him I would someday. But even if I never amount to anything much by human standards, I truly want to make a difference by God’s standards. Daddy always wanted me to be teacher or a nurse, or something practical. He thought being a Christian Counselor wasn’t a real job. But I have faith that God will help me find my place in this world, and that I will be able to make a small difference in the Christian community someday. That is my prayer anyway.

It’s been really dry with no rain for the last month. I was praying for rain, but I was reading about Elijah, the other day, and I believe that God showed me through that passage that we’re going to have a long three and a half year drought, and that it will rain only a few times when God allows it during that time. I don’t know if I’m right or not, but that passage ended with Elijah asking the people whether or not they were going to serve God or the idol of that time. I think, we as a people, need to choose this day whom we will serve, whether we will serve God, or the powers that be. With the recent events and deaths of Farah Fawcet and Michael Jackson, I believe we have lifted up movie stars, rock stars, and the president to idol status. Farah was a good actress and did some good work in her life, particularly her part in the movie, The Burning Bed, as she showed the horrors of domestic violence. MJ was a good musician, but had a questionable lifestyle at best, being accused of being a pedophile more than once. Barak Obama may have done a few good things, but the evil things he is promoting, have not gone unnoticed by those of us who stand up for righteousness, nor have they been unnoticed by God. God will not let us as a nation continue to worship our idols, while we claim to be serving Him. God will bring judgment on us as a nation, unless we humble ourselves, and get on our knees and pray, and seek God’s face, and change our evil ways.

Well the 4th of July is here, and we have much to celebrate. We have our freedoms still, and yet they are slowly being eroded by the powers that be. Great men and women of God have fought and died for these freedoms that we now enjoy. And I’m not just talking about the ones we enjoy as a country, but the ones we enjoy as Christians. Jesus died to give us freedom from the consequences of sin and death, and many Martyrs have died to give us free access to the Word of God. We can now pick up our Bibles anytime we want to and read a word from God, even though some of us may need to dust the cover off a little bit. This freedom that we have now, will not always be the case. As God has shown me in a dream a while ago, even our Bibles will be taken from us within twenty years. If you’ve been following the practices of our new administration, this should not be too surprising. President Obama has declared that we are not a Christian nation anymore! The Homosexual community is trying to sue Bible publishers for discrimination, for publishing the Word of God as it concerns homosexuality. Pedophilia is rampant and largely unpunished. And this country clearly has innocent blood on its hands with the sin of abortion being glorified as a good thing, and trying to push it on other countries. Yes, we are still largely a Christian nation, but many here are clearly not of the Christian mindset. And nothing will change unless Christians get up out of the pews of complacency and start fighting the good fight of faith. We need to unwaveringly stand up for what we believe, as it has been said before that the only thing it takes for evil to reign, is for good people to do nothing. We need to be willing to loose our jobs, our homes, and even our lives to do what God wants us to do. I, myself, have lost a job, my home, and risked my very life, to do God’s will. I lost a job at Lamar Christian School for speaking out against prejudice in the Christian community. I lost my home and risked my life to stand against ungodliness and to be able to take my children to church, when my husband would rather me not have. God asks this kind of sacrifice of all of us, not just me. What good is it, if someone gains the whole world and looses their own soul. We must be willing to make some sacrifices, and get out of our comfort zone to stand up for what is right. What is God asking you to sacrifice? Are you willing to make that sacrifice for God?

Paul’s First Letter to Timothy 4-6



4[1-10] Now the Spirit openly says, that in the latter times some will leave the faith, being led away by tempting spirits, and teachings of evil spirits; Pretending to be what they aren’t and lying; having their conscience ruined; Forbidding people to marry, and telling them to give up eating meats, which God has created to be eaten with thankfulness by those who believe and know the truth. Every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused, if it’s eaten with thankfulness: because it’s set apart by the Word of God and prayer. If you remind the Christians of this, you’re a good minister of Yeshua the Christ, grown up in the words of faith and in the good teachings, which you’ve followed. Don’t believe godless myths and old fairytales, but instead train yourself to be godly. Training the body does a little good: but godliness is good for everything, holding promise for the life that you have now, and for your life to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy to be accepted. So we work and suffer dishonor both, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of everyone, especially of those who believe.

[11-16] Tell this and teach it and let no one find fault with you for your youth; but be an example to believers, in word, in lifestyle, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Take care of the reading, the preaching, and the teaching until I come. Don’t neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by word, which was told you before, when the elders laid hands on you. Think about these things; giving your full attention to them; so that your spiritual growth will appear to all. Be careful of yourself, and of the Word of God; stay in it, because in doing this you’ll both save yourself, and those who hear you.

5[1-16] Don’t accuse an elder, but treat them as a parent; and the younger ones as siblings; The elder women as mothers; the younger women as sisters, with all decency. Honor widows that are true widows. But if any widow has children or other family, let them first show their faith at home by repaying their parents because that is good and acceptable to God. Now those who are true widows, having no one to care for them, trust in God, and keep on praying and asking God for help night and day. But those who live richly in pleasures are dead even while they live. Tell them these things, so that they can be without fault. So if anyone doesn’t give for their own, and especially for those of their own home, they have no true faith, and are worse than an unbeliever. Don’t let a widow be counted, who is under sixty years old, and only if she has been the spouse of one person, spoken well of for the good she’s done; if she has brought up her children, if she has taken in strangers, if she has taken care of the needs of Christians, if she has helped the troubled, if she has done everything good with care. But the younger widows refuse because when their physical needs turn them against following Christ, they’ll remarry, bringing judgment on themselves, if they break their vows to God. And besides this, they learn to be lazy, going from house to house; and not only to be lazy, but to gossip and to mind other peoples’ business, telling things which they shouldn’t. So I’d rather that the younger women remarry, have children, keep the house, give the enemy nothing to speak evil of. Some have already followed after Satan. So if anyone believes they have widows, let them take care of them, and don’t let the church be troubled; so that the church can take care of those who are really in need.

[17-25] Let the elders that lead well, especially those who preach and teach the Word, be thought of as worthy of double honor. The Word says, “Don’t muzzle the cow that grinds the grain;” And “The worker is worthy of their pay.” Don’t accept an accusation against an elder, unless there are two or three witnesses. Those who sin should be accused before the church, so that others will fear also. I tell you, before God, and Yeshua the Christ, and the chosen angels, to do this without prejudice, not doing favors for anyone. Don’t lay hands on anyone too quickly, nor take part in the sins of others: keep yourself pure. Don’t drink water only any longer, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your sicknesses, which comes often. Some people’s sins are clearly seen even before they go to judgment; and some are not known till later. It’s the same also with the good that’s done; Some good things are clearly seen now; and those things that aren’t seen, won’t be hidden forever.

6[1-10] Let all the workers who are forced to work for someone else count those they work for worthy of the most respect, so that the Name of God and these teachings aren’t spoken evil of. And those who work for believers, shouldn’t show them any less, because they’re Christians; but should work harder for them, because the one who has been helped by the work is a faithful and dear loved one. Teach this and encourage it. If anyone teaches otherwise, and doesn’t accept these good words, which are the Words of our Christ, Yeshua, and the Word of God, which are for godliness; That person is proud, knowing nothing, but loves to argue and fight about words, which only bring jealousy, fighting, abuses, evil imaginings, and unreasonable arguments by those with ruined minds, who don’t have the truth. They think that a show of religion brings financial gain, so stay away from these kinds of people. But true godliness with peace is a great gain. We bring nothing into this world, and we certainly can’t take anything out of it, so if we have food and clothing, let’s be happy with that. But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and a trap, wanting many stupid and hurtful things, which ruin them and send them to hell. The love of money is the root of all evils. Some, being greedy for it, leave the faith, and give themselves a world full trouble.

[11-16] But you, dear One of God, escape this; and follow after goodness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith. Hold on to the everlasting life, to which you’ve been called. You’ve made a good confession to many witnesses. I tell you, in the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and to Christ Yeshua, who made a good confession to Pontius Pilate, to keep this word without fault, blameless, until the appearing of our Christ, Yeshua. The Christ will be made known at just the right time, who is the blessed and only Sovereign One, the Ruler of rulers, and the Savior of saviors; Who is the only Eternal Spirit, which lives in the light which no one can come near to; whom no one has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. So be it!

[17-21] Tell those who are rich in this world, not to think themselves better than others, nor trust in uncertain riches, but to trust in the living God, who richly gives us everything to enjoy; That they do good things, that they be rich in good behavior, ready to give, willing to share; Saving up for themselves a good treasure for the time to come, so that they can take hold of everlasting life. Timothy, keep what has been put in your trust, keeping away from ungodly and mindless arguments, and disagreements about what is falsely called knowledge, which some have accepted and left the faith. Grace be with you. So be it!

The Fish Pond



Well May is almost over, and Memorial Day is here. I finished all my classes, tests, and papers. Now What? I’m about to embark on a new journey in my life, and like Moses, I only know to go where God will show me. I’m taking that leap of faith that says I’ll go, Lord, wherever you show me. For now, I will be working for the summer at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, and I will be working with the teens I believe. I will be helping them put a summer newsletter together, so I think it will be fun and challenging. I have orientation starting June first, and then dive in head first the second week of June, so please pray for me. Selah and Joey will be joining the Boys and Girls Club and accompanying me to work, so I think it will be a good experience for them, too. Please pray for their new adjustments as well.

On another note, Sunny bought Merry a plane ticket for her birthday and Rose finished paying for the Summer Camp at Duke, so Merry will be flying by herself to North Carolina, that week, too. I’m scared to death to let my baby go that far alone, but I’m putting her in God’s hands. I trust that she’ll be ok and come home safely. This is a chance of a lifetime for her, so I want her to go and have a great time. She has two wonderful big sisters that love and care for her! So I know she’ll be blessed by this trip. But pray for her safety anyway, because there are a lot of crazies out there.

So in the short time that I’ve had off of school, I’ve been working on getting all those school papers that I worked so hard on in a publishable format, and have published most of them on Triond. Here’s the link https://www.triond.com/users/Mama+Heartfilled if anybody wants to read any of them. I made an A on just about all of them, so I think they’re pretty good. I tried to make most of them applicable to real life situations, so I think they may be useful to somebody. I’ve also been working on my paraphrase, and have finished and published Acts. I have begun to work on Revelation and have completed the first three chapters. But it is a difficult book to understand, even when you’ve studied it as long as I’ve been studying it. Pray that God will give me wisdom and knowledge, along with physical and spiritual strength. I’ve really been struggling with attempting this book, because I attempted it several years ago, and must have messed it up really bad, because my computer crashed just after I finished it and I lost all my work. I guess God must have not liked some of my interpretations. I don’t know why God allowed me to get that far and then lose it, but maybe I needed to see something differently this time than I did before. So continue to keep me in your prayers as I work on it.

On a different note, my fishpond did completely dry out, and I had to move my fish, Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, to the smaller one. I also added a new fish, a solid white one, that I’ll call Spirit. It was a present to myself for finishing school. While the big pond was empty though, I thought I would dig it out a little deeper and wider, so that it would hold more water and maybe not dry out so often. As I was walking out today to see if the rain had filled it up any, I thought about how we can dry out spiritually at times. God showed me as I stared into that half-filled pond, that often we just need to dig deep and pray for rain, so that God can fill us up again with that wonderful water of life! Sometimes we pray for rain, but don’t work for it, and sometimes God just wants us to work for it! He wants us to get down in the bottom of our hearts, and get dirty, and just dig until we see water! I worked blisters on my hands digging it out some more, and maybe we should work that hard to be filled up again. God will send the rain eventually, but we need to be willing to get our hands dirty, so that we can hold more water. If we stay at the same level we’ve been for too long, then we will dry out quickly when the heat is on! The Son is coming, and we need to be prepared spiritually for His arrival. So if you don’t want to dry out spiritually, then dig deep and pray for rain! God bless and go fish!







The Revelation of John

1[1-8]This is the Revelation of Yeshua the Christ, which God gave to the Christ, to show to God’s people all the things which must soon happen; and who sent and signified it by God’s messenger to God’s worker John, who has told us the Word of God, and the truth of Yeshua the Christ, and of everything that he saw. Whoever reads it will be blessed, along with those who hear the message of this word which was given ahead of time, and keep what is written in it, because it’s time for it to be known. I, John, write to the seven churches of Asia: May God’s grace and peace be with you, from the One Who Is, and Who Was, and Is To Come; and from the seven spirits which are in front of the throne of God; And from Yeshua the Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the First Born of the dead, and the Ruler of the rulers of the earth. To the One who loved us, and washed us from our sins in Christ’s own blood, and has made us to be rulers and priests to Yahweh God, who Christ is from; May Your victory be known and and Your reign be forever and ever. So be it! When the Christ comes back in the clouds of the sky, everyone will see it, and those who killed the Christ: and all the families of the earth will cry when they see the Christ. It will happen in this very way! “I am the First Word and the Last Word, the beginning and the ending, said the Christ, Who Is, Who Was, and Who Is To Come, the Almighty God.”

[9-20] I John, who also am your friend and companion in troubles, and in the realm of God and in the patient waiting for Yeshua the Christ, was in the island of Patmos, being punished for telling the truth about the Word of God, and for telling the truth about Yeshua the Christ. I was in the Spirit on God's day, when I heard behind me a loud voice, like the sound of a trumpet, saying, “I am the First Word and the Last Word, the beginning and the ending: Write what you see in a book, and send it to the seven Asian churches; to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.” And when I turned to see the voice that spoke with me, I saw seven golden candle holders; And in the middle of the seven candle holders Some one like the Christ, clothed with a robe down to the foot, and with a golden belt around the chest. Whose head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow; and whose eyes shined like a flaming fire; And whose feet shown like fine brass, as if they were on fire; and whose voice sounded like a great rushing water; And who had seven stars in one hand: and out of whose mouth came something like a sharp two-edged sword: and whose appearance was like the sunshine in its full strength. And when I saw the Christ, I fell down as if I were dead. And the Christ, whose hand touched me, told me, “Don’t be afraid; I am the first and the last: I am the One who lives, and was dead; and I am alive forever, so be it; and now I have power over hell and death. Write everything you’ve seen, and all the things which are now, and the things which will happen later; I tell you the secret of the seven stars which you saw in my hand and the seven golden candle holders. The seven stars are the messengers of the seven churches: and the seven candle holders which you saw stand for the seven churches.

2[1-7] To the angel of the church of Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in one hand and who walks among the seven golden candle holders says to you: I know what you’ve done, your work, and your patience, and how you can’t stand those who are evil: how you’ve tested those who say they’re followers, but really aren’t, and you know they are liars: And what you’ve patiently gone through, and because of My Name have worked, and haven’t quit. But even so, I still have somewhat against you, because you’ve left your first love. So remember where you’ve come from, and change your evil ways, and do what you did at first; or else I’ll come to you suddenly, and will take your candle holder from out of its place, unless you change your evil ways. But you have hated the actions of the followers of Nicolas, which I also hate. Whoever will listen, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches; I will give those who overcome fruit to eat from the tree of life, which is in the middle of God’s Garden of Paradise.

[8-11] And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: The first and the last, which was dead, and is alive says this to you; I know what you’ve done, and your troubles, and your poverty, (but you’re really rich in spirit) and I know the disrespect of those who say they’re followers, but really aren’t, but are, the truth is, the followers of Satan. Don’t fear anything that you’ll suffer: the devil will put some of you in jail, so that you can be tested; and you’ll have a brief period of troubles: but be faithful, even to death, and I’ll give you a crown of life. Whoever will listen, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches; Whoever overcomes won’t be harmed by the second death.

[12-17] And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write: The One who has the sharp sword with two edges says this to you: I know what you’ve done, and where you live, even the very place where Satan reigns: and you still hold on to My Name, and haven’t denied My faith, even in the days that Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan reigns. But I still have a few things against you, because those who, like Balaam, who taught Balac to compromise the faith of the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed in false worship, and to act in sexual sin, so you also have those who practice what the followers of Nicolas do, which I hate. Change your evil ways; or else I’ll come to you suddenly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth, the Word of God. Whoever will listen, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To those who overcome, I’ll give some of the hidden the bread from heaven to eat, and will give them a white stone, with a new name written in it, which no one knows except whoever gets it.

[18-29] And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: This says the Child of God, whose eyes are like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like fine brass; I know what you’ve done, your love, service, faith, and patience, and all the little things you’ve done; and the last is more than the first. But even so, I still have a few things against you, because you let that woman like Jezebel, which calls herself a great preacher, to teach and to seduce my workers to sin sexually, and to eat things offered in false worship. And I gave her time to change the sinful way of unfaithfulness; but she didn't change her ways. So I’ll put her, and those who sinned with her, into a bed of great troubles, unless they change the evil ways of their actions. And I’ll kill her children with death; and all the churches will know that I am the One who searches the mind and the heart: and I’ll give to everyone of you whatever you deserve. But I say to you, and to all the rest in Thyatira, whoever hasn’t accepted this teaching, and which hasn’t known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I’ll put on you no other problem. But what you already have, hold on to till I come. And whoever overcomes, and keeps on doing My work till the end, I’ll give them power over the nations just as I got of the One I am from: And they’ll rule them with a strong hand; and they’ll be broken to shivers like the jars of a potter. And I’ll give them the morning star. Whoever will listen, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

3[1-6] And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: The One who has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars says this: I know what you’ve done, and that even though you have a name that’s alive, you’re dead. Be watchful, and strengthen those you have left, that are ready to die, because I haven’t found what you’ve done to be without fault before God. So remember how you’ve gotten and heard the Word, and hold on to it, and change your evil ways. And if you won’t watch, I’ll come on you like a thief, and you won’t know when I’ll come on you. You still have a few people left in Sardis which haven’t ruined the clothes they walk in; and they’ll walk with Me in white clothes because they’re worthy. Whoever overcomes will be clothed in white clothing; and I won’t take their name out of the Book of Life, but I’ll call their name before the One I am from, and before the angels. Whoever will listen, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

[7-13] And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: This said the One who is holy, the One who is true, the One who has the power of David, the One who opens what no one can shut; and shuts what no one can open; I know what you’ve done: I’ve given you an open door, which no one can shut, because you only have a little strength left, and have kept My Word, and haven’t denied My Name. I’ll make those who follow Satan, which say they’re My followers, but aren’t, and lie about it, to come and fall at your feet, and to know that I have loved you. You’ve kept the Word of My patience, ao I’ll also keep you from the time of temptation, which will come to the whole world, to test all those who still live on the earth. I’ll come suddenly, so hold tight what you have, so that no one can take your crown. Whoever overcomes I’ll make a leader in the place of worship of My God, and they won’t go out any more: and I’ll write on them the Name of My God, and the Name of the City of My God, which is New Jerusalem, which will come down out of heaven from My God: and I’ll write on them My New Name. Whoever will listen, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

[14-22] And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write: This said the Last Word, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know what you’ve done, and that you’re neither cold nor hot, but I wish you were either cold or hot. So then because you’re only lukewarm, and not cold or hot, I’ll spew you out of My mouth. You say, I am rich, and have lots of things, and don’t need anything; and don’t know that you’re a useless and miserable person, and poor, blind, and naked: I tell you to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, so that you can really be rich; and wear white clothing, that you can be covered, so that the shame of your nakedness doesn’t show; and anoint your eyes with medicine, so that you can see. Whoever I love, I judge and discipline: so be very careful, and change your evil ways. I stand at the door, knocking, to see if anyone hears My voice, and opens the door, then I’ll come in to them, and will eat with them, and they with Me. To those who overcome I’ll allow to sit with Me in My throne room, just as I also overcame, and am now sitting with the One I am from, in the throne room of Yahweh God. Whoever will listen, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Notes and Prayer Requests

• My son Rock has gone to North Carolina to live with his sister Sunny for a while and is looking for work. He has had an interview, but please pray that he gets a job soon.

• My son Tommy has decided to go ahead and take the GED and go on into college in the fall, if possible. Pray for him as he seeks God’s will in his life.

• My son-in-law David has just been accepted in to grad school at NC State (I think, I never can keep those NC colleges straight). Congratulations David! God Bless You!

• Thank you for praying for me as I took my finals at Carey and as I went about my job search. I have a summer job, but will need something in the fall, so keep praying that God will open a door.

• Merry will be leaving for her Summer Camp at Duke, and will be flying there on June 7th I think. Please pray for her safety!

• I have published many of my paraphrases on the Triond website. The links are listed below if anyone want to check them out. I would appreciate if you’d let me know of grammar, punctuation, and other mistakes I may have made. My goal is to make the paraphrase as simple and clear as possible. I know they still need much work, as they are drafts of a work in progress. I don’t know of any other bible that uses the Name of Yahweh (I am in Hebrew), so I am working hard to get it right. Please pray that God helps me in this work, and let me know of any mistakes you find. Thank all of you who are praying for me on this.

Counselors’ Corner



Well I’m down to the nitty-gritty now. I have finals this coming week so I would appreciate a few words going up for me. This has been quite a stressful trimester, but I have done well thus far I think. I thank you for all who have said prayers for me these last few months, as I could not have survived without knowing I had a few who cared how I was doing. I still haven’t found a job yet so keep your eyes and ears open for me. I’ve found a few leads and put in some applications, so I’m trying to trust God for the rest. God has got me this far, so I know He’s got a plan, even if I don’t. I would love to reopen my secondhand Christian bookstore, but I didn’t get enough community support the last time I tried it, so I don’t think that’s really an option right now, as I have no start up funds. But maybe someday! I’ll never give up that dream, anyway. It was a great learning experience, though, while it lasted. And it was a great front for my ministry to victims. I won’t have a degree in hand until August, so I guess I’ll do whatever I can until then. August 8 is the day I graduate, if anybody out there wants to come. Rose will be in Oxford, England for a three week course sponsored by Duke at that time, so she’ll miss it, but I wouldn’t ever ask her to pass up that opportunity. I don’t think Sunny or Rock will be able to make it either, but I know they’ll all be cheering for me on that day. They have all been supportive of my being in school for the most part. And I have to say, I would never have made it this far, with out my Mother’s help with the kids. I think she should get an honorary degree for helping me out. I couldn’t have done it without her.

On another note, I saw some interesting pictures on the net today that I think are absolutely awesome. These were taken by NASA with the Hubble telescope. It’s called the "Eye of God" and the “Hand of God” by some people, and I think appropriately so. I thought these were awesome and worth sharing with you all. They go along with the passages I’ve been working on the last few weeks for my paraphrase, so I thought I would include them. Acts Chapter Two includes this passage: And in the last days, says God, I’ll pour out of My Spirit on all people: and your sons and your daughters will preach, and your young people will see visions, and your old people will dream dreams: And on My male and My female workers I’ll pour out of My Spirit in those days; and they’ll all preach: And I’ll show amazing things in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and smoky vapors: The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon will shine blood red, till that great and notable day of YAHWEH GOD comes: And whoever will call on the Name of YAHWEH GOD will be saved.







I think these are pretty amazing signs in the heavens myself. How about ya’ll? Don’t you just love to step outside in the dark of a summer’s night and look up at all the stars in sky? I sure do. Summer’s coming and I’m looking forward to the great outdoors again myself. If anyone can’t see the hand of God all over creation their just plain blind. My lilies have been in bloom for a couple of weeks now, and I am amazed at how beautiful they are when they spread their petals open to a pointed star-like blossom. I have solid crimson red ones and white ones with red tips on their petals blooming so far. My orange ones haven’t come into bloom yet but they will later in the summer. I have a few hostas and caladiums peeking out of the ground, to add a little color to the more shady spots along the walking trail. My garden is doing ok, and I actually got some lettuce to grow this year. I got four heads of leaf lettuce growing, along with onions, collards, mustards, asparagus, and of course my favorite, strawberries. The blueberries need rain and quick, so I’m praying for rain soon. So does my fishpond, that’s drying out quickly. I have four fish in my pond, named Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and they’re running out of swimming room. I may have to put them in a temporary pond if it dries out again this summer. My doves are just getting breeding age, and have now started a courtship ritual, called the bow coo. I named them Glory and Halleluiah, which some of my kids think is corny, but I figured I would get a little praise to God in everyday when I greet them. I love to hear their mourning coos and their laughing coos. These doves are sometimes called laughing doves, because they sound as if they’re laughing at times. It’s a real joy to hear them every day. God has truly been good to me. I have learned to be content with the smallest joys, even when it seems the whole world is crashing down around us.

Speaking of the world crashing down around us, someone very dear to me was recently date-raped and has experienced an emotional break down as a result. What was supposed to be a joyous time in her life, has been made a tragedy by the heartlessness of an evil person. This is where my heart hurts the most, that is, for innocent victims of sexual and domestic violence. Please pray with me for her and her family. And pray that I will someday be able to minister to these innocent victims. I want to be a voice to those who can’t speak for themselves. I pray that what breaks God’s heart will continue to break mine until I do something to make a difference in the lives of these survivors. Pray that God will help me find my place. The Acts of the Followers

Chapters 1-7

1[1-8]The earlier work I made for you, Theophilus, told of all that Yeshua began to do and teach, until the day in which the Christ was taken up, after the Christ, through the Holy Spirit, had told the followers, whom Yeshua had chosen, what to do: To whom also the Christ appeared alive after suffering death on the cross, by many unmistakable proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things concerning the realm of God: And being gathered together with them, the Christ said, Don’t leave from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of Yahweh God, who I am from. You’ve heard me say, John truly baptized with water; but you’ll be baptized with the Holy Spirit a few days from now. So when they had come together, they asked, saying, “Christ, will you now give Israel back again the realm of God?” But the Christ answered, "It isn’t for you to know the days or periods of time, which are all in the power of Yahweh God. But you’ll have power, after the Holy Spirit comes on you: and you’ll be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and even to the farthest parts of the world.

[9-14] And when Yeshua had spoken this, even as they watched, the Christ was taken up in the sky, with a cloud blocking their sight. And as they kept on looking toward heaven as the Christ went up, two messengers stood by them in white clothing; Who said, “You people of Galilee, why are you standing here staring up into heaven? This same Yeshua, which has been taken up from you into heaven, will come again in the same way as you’ve seen the Christ go into heaven.” Then they came back to the city from the Mount of Olives, which is a Seventh Day's walk from Jerusalem. And when they had come in, they went upstairs into an upper room, where Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James, the child of Alphaeus, Simon, the Zealot, and Judas, the brother of James, were. They all came together with one heart, praying and making requests, along with the women, Mary, the mother of Yeshua, and with the other Christians.

[15-26] And in those days Peter stood up in the middle of the followers, (about a hundred and twenty all together) saying, “Christians, this Word had to have been completed, which the Holy Spirit spoke by the mouth of David about Judas, who was the guide to those who took Yeshua. He was included in our number, and had taken part in this ministry.” (Now Judas purchased a field with the profit of his sin; and falling headfirst, his body burst open, and all his insides fell out. And everyone who lives in Jerusalem knew this; so that field is called in their language, Aceldama, which means, Field of Blood.) “The Word says in the book of Psalms, Leave his home empty, and let no one live in it: and let someone else take up his work. So which of these others who have been with us all the time that Christ Yeshua went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John, to that same day that the Christ was taken up from us, must be set apart to be a witness with us of the Christ’s coming to life again?” So they chose two, Joseph, who is called Barsabas, who was nicknamed Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed, saying, “You, Christ, who knows the hearts of everyone, show us which of these two You’ve chosen, who will take part in the leadership of this ministry, from which Judas by sin fell, that he might go where he belonged. And they threw their lots to see who would be chosen; and the lot fell on Matthias; who was numbered along with the other eleven leaders.

2[1-13] And when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all in the same place together with one heart. And suddenly a loud noise from heaven, like a very strong wind, filled the whole house where they were sitting together. And they all saw what looked like split tongues of fire, which came to rest on each of them. And everyone was filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them words. And many people were staying at Jerusalem, both Jews, and other dedicated people, from all over the world. Now when they heard the noise sound out, the crowd came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speaking in their own language. And everyone was amazed and wondered about it, saying to one another, “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galilaeans? So how do we hear them in our own languages, which came from where we were born? Parthians, Medes, Elamites, those who live in Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, Libya near Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and converts, Cretes and Arabians, we all hear them speak of the amazing things God has done in our own languages.” And everyone was amazed, and wondered, asking one another, “What does this mean?” Others mocking them said, “These people are drunk on new wine.”

[14-21] But Peter, standing up with the eleven, spoke out, saying to them, You people of Judea, and all you that live at Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen carefully to my words: because these people aren’t drunk, like you think. You can see it’s only nine o’clock in the morning. But this is what was spoken by the great preacher Joel; And in the last days, says God, I’ll pour out of My Spirit on all people: and your sons and your daughters will preach, and your young people will see visions, and your old people will dream dreams: And on My male and My female workers I’ll pour out of My Spirit in those days; and they’ll all preach: And I’ll show amazing things in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and smoky vapors: The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon will shine blood red, till that great and notable day of YAHWEH GOD comes: And whoever will call on the Name of YAHWEH GOD will be saved.

[22-36] You people of Israel, hear these words; Yeshua of Nazareth, someone who lived among you and who was approved by God by the amazing and wonderful signs, which God did among you through Yeshua, as you yourselves also know: This person, being given by the unchangeable direction and foreknowledge of God, you’ve taken, and by evil hands have put to death on the cross: Whom God has brought back to life, having been freed from the sufferings of death, because it wasn’t possible to be held by it. And David speaks about the Christ, saying, I saw the Christ before my face, who is always beside me, so that I wouldn’t be shaken: So my heart celebrated, and my voice was happy; and my body will also rest in hope: because you won’t leave my soul in hell, nor will you let your Holy One come to ruin. You’ve made known to me the ways of life; you’ll make me full of joy when you come. Everyone, let me speak to you freely of our ancestor David, who’s both dead and buried, and whose tomb is with us to today. David, being a great preacher, knew that God had sworn to him with a promise, that from one of his own descendants, the Christ would be raised up to sit on his throne; So knowing this, David spoke of the new life of Christ, that the Christ’s soul wasn’t left in hell, nor was the Christ’s body ruined. This Yeshua, God has brought back to life, in which we are all witnesses. So being lifted up on the right side of God, and having gotten the promise of the Holy Spirit from God, the Christ has poured it out upon us, which is what you now see and hear. David hasn’t gone up into the heavens: but said himself, Yahweh God said to my Christ, “Sit beside Me, until I put your enemies under your feet.” So let all the house of Israel know without a doubt, that God has made that same Yeshua, whom you’ve put to death, both Ruler and Christ.

[37-40] Now when the people heard this, their hearts were greatly saddened, saying to Peter and to the rest of the followers, Christians, what should we do? Then Peter answered, Change your evil ways, and all of you be baptized in the Name of Yeshua the Christ for the forgiveness of sins and you’ll get the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are to come, whoever Yahweh God will call. And with many other words, Peter talked to them and strongly encouraged them, saying, “Save yourselves from the evil of this people.”

[41-47] Then those who gladly accepted his word were baptized: and this same day about three thousand souls were added to their numbers. And they faithfully continued in the followers' teachings, breaking bread and praying in loving friendship. And every soul feared and wondered at many amazing things and signs that had happened by the followers. And everyone that believed had all things together in common; And sold their possessions and goods, and divided them out to everyone, as they had need. And continuing daily with one heart in the place of worship, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with happiness and undivided hearts, praising God, and having favor with all the people. And God gave to the church daily all who would be saved.

3[1-11] Now Peter and John went up together into the place of worship at the time of prayer, being three o’clock. And someone unable to walk from their mother's womb was carried and laid daily at the gate of the place of worship which is called Beautiful, to ask for money of those who went in the place of worship; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the place of worship asked for a gift. And Peter, looking at him with John, said, “Look on us.” And he looked up to them, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, “I don’t have any money; but what I have I give to you: In the Name of Yeshua the Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk.” And they took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and suddenly his feet and ankle bones were made strong. And jumping up, he stood up and walked, and came with them into the place of worship, walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: And they knew that it was the One who sat waiting for gifts at the Beautiful gate of the place of worship: and they were amazed and wondered at what had happened to him. And as the person who was unable to walk and was healed held Peter and John, all the people, who were greatly amazed, ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's.

[12-18] And when Peter saw it, he said to the people, “People of Israel, why are you so amazed at this? Why are you staring at us, as though by our own power or goodness we had made this person walk? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has made Yeshua, God’s Christ, known; whom you gave up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to let the Christ go. But you denied the Holy and Godly One, and wanted a murderer to be freed to you instead; And you killed the One who has the power of life, which God has brought back to life from the dead; in which we’re all witnesses. And through faith in the Christ’s name, this person was made strong, whom you see and know: yes, the faith in the name of Yeshua, which is through the Christ has given this person complete healing in the presence of you all. And now, people, I understand that you did it in ignorance, as your rulers also did. But those things, which God had showed by the words of all the great preachers, that Christ would suffer, have now happened.

[19-26] So change your evil ways, and turn back to God, that your sins can be forgiven, so that the times of refreshing will come from the presence of God; And God will send Yeshua the Christ, which to was preached to you: Whom heaven must keep until the time when everything will be made right, which God has spoken by the mouth of all the great holy preachers since the world began. The truth is, Moses said to the ancestors, YAHWEH your God will raise up to you a great preacher out of your own people, like me; Listen to whatever is said to you by this One. Every soul, which won’t listen to that great preacher, will be completely separated from among the people. Yes, and all the great preachers from Samuel and those that follow after, whoever has spoken, has foretold of these days. You’re the children of the great preachers, and of the promised agreement which God made with our ancestors, saying to Abraham, and your descendant will bless all the families of the earth. God, having brought back Yeshua the Christ to life, sent the Christ to you first to bless you, by turning all of you away from your uncontrolled actions.”

Notes and Prayer Requests

• My son Rock has gone to North Carolina to live with his sister Sunny for a while and is looking for work. Please pray for him.

• My son Tommy has decided to go ahead and take the GED and go on into college in the fall, if possible. He has been staying with me for a couple of weeks and its been a blessing to have him with me for a little while. I have thoroughly enjoyed his company and help. He has been a big help to me the last few days. Pray for him as he seeks God’s will in his life.

• My son-in-law David had a hernia surgery in April and is now healing well. Please continue praying for his complete healing.

• Please remember to pray for me as I take my finals next week at Carey and as go about my job search.

• Merry has gotten some funds toward her summer camp to Duke, but we still need to raise more if possible. If anyone can contribute, it would be greatly appreciated. She is willing to work for whatever you can give. Pray that we can raise the funds to let her go.
